How the site works without tracking cookies

The home-page calculation uses the numbers entered at the time of use. It updates a hypothetical result locally and does not require a session identifier, a user profile or persistent browser storage.

The other articles, including the payments guide, can be read without logging in. Links to external websites may lead to services with their own cookie practices; those practices are controlled by the destination website, not this one.

Browser controls and local information

Most browsers let you inspect or clear site data and control whether cookies can be stored. The location of those settings differs by browser and device. Clearing site data can affect other services, particularly those where you are signed in.

A browser may also retain history, cached files or other local information separately from cookies. Such browser-managed records are distinct from the site’s calculator, which does not keep a saved calculation history.
