Privacy at WinShark Field Guide

WinShark Field Guide provides information pages and a browser-based cryptocurrency value illustration. Reading the material does not require an account, a deposit, an identity document or the submission of personal details to this site.

Calculator inputs remain in your browser

The crypto value illustration on the home page uses values entered into the displayed controls to calculate a hypothetical result on your device. The calculator does not submit those values to a server, keep a personal history or save them using cookies or local storage.

Its figures are scenarios, not an assessment of a particular reader or a prediction of cryptocurrency prices. Closing or refreshing the page can return controls to their starting values; it is not an account record.

Technical information during a visit

Ordinary web hosting can create access and error logs containing information such as an IP address, request path, time and browser details. The availability, retention and handling of those logs depend on the hosting environment; the informational material does not promise that an internet visit leaves no technical trace.

This informational site does not ask for payment-card details, gambling account passwords or copies of identity documents. Such information should not be entered into the calculator or shared with an unrelated website.

Links and control of your information

Some links lead to other websites. Their operators control their own privacy practices. In particular, reading the payment information here does not transfer money or create a WinShark account.

Browser settings can help manage local browsing information. The cookies information describes this site’s approach to browser storage. Readers seeking to exercise privacy rights in relation to information held by another company should contact that company directly.
